Teach Your Children These Tips, Because If You Don’t Nobody Else Will.

  • Parents are the best teachers, you can teach your child better than anyone else.

  • Not all strangers are bad, this is why kids are fooled, these predators look like mom or dad.

  • Child predators are very smart, they don’t want to show any foul play because it gives law enforcement leads and clues.

  • Be smart not scared! When you’re scared you become predictable in your actions and reactions, but when you’re smart and informed, you have a choice on what to do.

  • If someone pulls over in their car and calls out for help or directions, teach your child to turn around and run in the opposite direction. If someone really needs help they can find an adult to help them.

  • Kids won’t think about this by their selves, you have to teach them.

  • When your child is riding their bicycle, if some one grabs them, teach them to hold onto the handle bars tight, don’t let go, they can’t put you and the bike in the car at the same time.

  • If your child is taken, tell them they can open the door and get back out or crawl over the seat and get out of the back door. The predator can’t drive and try to grab you at the same time.

  • If you’re child is put into a trunk of a car, teach your child to pull the emergency trunk release strap that’s in most newer cars. Parents show your child where this is in the trunk.

  • Your child needs to know if these bad things happen to them, they have permission to do these things to counteract violence.

  • You need motion detector lights around your house.

  • Parent’s keep your car keys buy your bed at night, if you hear someone around your house or trying to break in, set your car alarm off.

  • Seniors/Children need a whistle so they can blow it, everybody will look.
  • Kids are not afraid of this subject, parents are. You have to show, tell and teach them. Remember they’re your children, don’t depend on the school system to teach them, it’s your responsibility.

Thank you for your interaction Jason. We need to do some role playing with our kids too, to find out what they would do in certain situations.

It’s so true Daryl, children need to be taught these lessons, and the lessons need to be reinforced over and over again. There’s nothing more important than the safety of children, and I thank you for your diligent work to help keep our kids safe.
