Online Petition Opposing Government Run Health Care

President Obama and Congress are pushing hard to revamp our national health care system.  While health care legislation is more confusing than ever – there’s one thing that’s very clear:  Government-run health care is unacceptable, and the time to voice opposition is right now.
 
The American Center for Law and Justice is mobilizing and demanding that Congress REJECT any government-run health care program.  The Administration’s idea of health care ”reform” is a dangerous plan that could open the door to make abortion a mandatory ”health benefit.”

I warned you – Congress is back in session, and the issue of health care reform has taken center stage.
 
And right out of the gate, there’s troubling news to report:  Congressional leaders have blatantly rejected our concerns regarding the abortion mandate and the public option – all amendments to proposed health care reform legislation were voted down in committee.
 
The only choice now is to kill the bill entirely – all five proposed versions in their current form.
 
Add your name to our online PETITION AGAINST GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE immediately and voice your strong opposition to this legislation!

While health care legislation remains as confusing as ever, of this you can be certain:  Under current legislative proposals, the health care field would become a highly government-regulated industry. 
 
If we cede control of the health care industry to the government without a specific abortion exemption, mandated abortion coverage is sure to follow.
 
I urge every concerned member of the ACLJ to speak out NOW:  It’s time to say NO to the public option or any other government-run health care plan – along with mandatory coverage for abortions.

Thankfully, there’s good news.  Twenty-three House Democrats have expressed their opposition to the bill, and we will be calling on them to keep their promise to their constituents. 
 
However, a minimum of 38 House Democrats in opposition are needed to overcome the large majority that the party holds in the House of Representatives.  We’re pushing hard in Congress, but we need your help.
 
The bottom line?  Government-run health care is unacceptable.
