You make some valid points in this post, Daryl, namely “Remember God gave you one mouth and two ears, so listen more than you talk.” Haha, too true…

It is tremendously helpful to have some understanding of personality types in our industry, especially when dealing with prospects (even more importantly, prospects who become team members). In the book “Be a Recruiting Superstar” they break down personality types into bird categories… and since reading/understanding that, I’ve found a toonnnnn more success in effectively communicating with people.

Hi Daryl,

I like the idea of an interview process and I also like how you’ve identified the 4 unique personality types as well.

I would look for Commander types but they must be coachable and have some Phlegmatic tendencies such as the willingness to give.

Ideally, you need someone that is highly motivated and focused, but understands the need to add value to peoples lives through GIVING and also has enough HUMILITY to become the student when necessary.
