Thank you so much for putting the real news out there. I am actually doing a term paper on this same issue. I was shocked that only a few people were even a aware of this issue. If you get a chance read on a little year old name Shanya Davis, Her mother sold her for sex and the little girl was murdered. This is the real deal. this is whats really happening to our children. I agree education is the key. Most parents don’t know how to educate their children on this subject so they just ignore it altogether.

It takes proactive parents to prevent such tragedies.

The first thing we have to do is make parents aware of these terrible statistics, and that the statistics will only grow if we do nothing.

Second we have to educate our children by role playing and teaching them everyday safety tips of what to do in certain situations dealing with people.

By doing this we educate not scare the child. Children are very smart and if we teach them what to do, they will do it.

If a child knows what to do they will get out of a harmful situation 84% of the time.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Amber Alert, finger print cards, DNA kits, and tracking devices.

Although these are good programs none of these programs do anything to prevent a child from becoming missing.
